Cheap Electricity Suppliers »

This may sounds like a stupid question, but this is the first time I have lived on my own. I currently receive my gas and electric from British Gas, but I’m sure I could find another provider that is cheaper. How do I go about changing? Do I phone around for quotes, how do I copare them? Any recommendations? Is it easy to switch over? As I live in a shared ownership home would i need to consult the housing association before switching suppliers? Advice would be much appreciated!

With all the price drops by NPower, British Gas and EON, is it worth me switching tariffs? I can see any added value in any of the offerings so should i move from Scottish Power or wait for further proce drops before i make the move?

I’m ditching Scottish Power….I refuse to go to British Gas so can anybody recommend a new combined fuel supplier.
My number one concern is price and then environmental awareness.
Thanks!

Hi there,
I am renting a room in a flat where the gas needs to be topped up (we use British Gas). My sub-landlady wants to now have gas where you don’t have to top-up but just pay monthly for usage (or every 3 months, whichever way it works) because this gas top-up is costing us too much (about £80 per month).
I don’t know why but we had a supplier come in and my sub-landlady said they didn’t take it because that supplier only replaced gas and not electricity (but we …
